We live in
a fast-paced world, and it can seem like no one has time to do much more than
they’re already doing today. When you’re faced with an emergency, or a life or
death situation, time can seem to speed up even more, and it’s important that
you not only know what to do but that you’re able to conduct yourself
accordingly. While these situations can seem to happen at random, there are certain
professions where having at least a baseline level of understanding will be
necessary given the risks inherent in the job.
For
example, as a lifeguard you aren’t guaranteed that something bad will happen on
every shift, or even during the course of a year. If there is an emergency,
however, then you’ll need to make sure that you have the right skills to
potentially save someone’s life. Having basic lifesaving certifications is a
must, but in many situations you’ll want to show your experience by having more
than just basic knowledge of how to save someone in an emergency.
